Bonjour Dah-lings
How is quarantine going for you? Have you been tempted yet to give yourself bangs yet? Well, don’t! Step away from the kitchen scissors and instead try experimenting with new styling techniques rather than going for a dramatic lockdown lob! The virus should (keeping our unmanicured fingers crossed) be over faster than it will take you to grow your hair back!
Now is Not the Time to be Giving Yourself a “Quarantrim”.
A crisis can make even the strongest of us crumble. Add social distancing into the equation and you’re probably feeling a little stir crazy right now. You might find yourself spending more time looking in the mirror than usual. Contemplating life and its meaning! While counting the increasing number of grey hairs that appear to be materializing on a daily basis.
The question of what to do with your hair is starting to stress you out. Suck it up dah-lings. Don’t give in to the devil in your ear whispering “chop it off”. Stay strong! Your stylist is relying on you to do the right thing!
Get Creative with the Hair That You Do Have.
How about using your time wisely? Try experimenting with styles that you’ve been wanting to recreate but just never had the time for until now. The bonus being, if you get it wrong first time, who’s going to notice? Just you and your quarantined cat!
3 Easy Step-by-Step Styles to Recreate
The Modern Messy Bun
The Modern Messy Bun is actually a polished look that’s easy to pull off so let’s start with that one.
Step 1 – Brush your hair up into a high ponytail and slip a headband over your hair, roughly an inch back from your hairline.
Step 2 – Go ahead and twist your ponytail into a bun, pinning the edges with bobby pins.
Step 3 – Create some volume at the crown of the head, using either a tail comb or even a pencil to tease and gently “wiggle” up some hair.
Step 4 – Secure in place with Number 4 High Performance Non Aerosol Hair Spray.
The Mega Volume Double Pony
Looking to add some height and volume to your regular ponytail then try our next quarantine style. It also gives the optical illusion of more length.
Step 1 – Take the hair from above your ears only and tie into a half-up, half-down ponytail, so that the rest of your hair is still hanging down loosely.
Step 2 – It’s time to double up by creating a second ponytail underneath the first one you created.
Step 3 – Tease out the hair in your top ponytail with a fine-tooth comb to create plenty of volume.
Step 4 – Spritz with N4’s Sugar Texturizing Spray to create that un-done yet shiny finish
The Simple Twist-and-Pin Style
Got a date night in with your bae? Then try this simple and elegant style which is perfect for fine hair.
Step 1 – Take a one-inch piece of hair from near your temple and twist it away from your face.
Step 2 – Create a lovely criss-cross effect with your bobby pins in the shape of an X by placing them at an angle, diagonally to hold the twist in place.
Step 3 – Run some of our N4’s Sugar Texturizing Spray through the adds for a frizz-free finish
