BONJOUR DAH-LING!
There’s nothing we love more than a hair accessory. Big bows and bold headbands certainly make a statement, and there’s nothing more chic than entering Fall with the right accessory.
This year’s must-have? A silky patterned headscarf.
That’s right, we’re here today to talk about headscarves. A beautiful and silky piece of material that can take your hairstyle and outfit from basic, to tres magnifique!
The soft and silky material contrasts to their striking and vivid patterns; and there’s certainly the perfect one out there for you.
Head to your favorite stores and browse the classic square scarf-like bandana, or maybe opt in for a long rectangle one (or you can cheat a little and buy one that’s already tied for you so all you need to do is put it on!).
Extra Chic Headscarf Styles for This Up and Coming Season:
The Ponytail Tie
The classic ponytail is the easiest way to incorporate a scarf into your hair. If you find this style can be a little boring then this is the perfect way to spice it up!
Simply place your hair in a ponytail, securing it with a hair tie. We recommend having it sitting on the middle/lower part of your head, but a higher pony still works!
Tie your headscarf around where the hair is secured by the hair tie, and knot it into place letting the ends of the scarf fall down next to your hair.
If you like your pony slick and to have a firm finish, use N4’s Firm Hold Gel. This will give your hair that little extra shine and will ensure your style stays in place all day without any stickiness.
The Braid Tie
Oh the delicate braid. It has a sweetness and innocence that is perfect for all of you girly girls! It’s ever so easy, place your hair in a low pony and secure it with a hair tie. Pull your scarf through the hair tie a little, and knot it into place.
Then start the braid, do this as you usually would but include the scarf in one of the three strands. Secure at the end and use N4’s Mighty Hair Spray for an excellent memory hold.
The Mighty Hair Spray is perfect to keep your hair in place, and also fight the humid weather that may still be lingering round as we head into Autumn.
Half Top Knot with a Scarf
This is such an easy style and allows you to have some of your hair down whilst still rocking this cute accessory.
Tie half of your hair up into a top knot on the top of your hair. We think the messier the better for this style, so go ahead and pull out any baby hairs.
Wrap the headscarf around the hairband to hide it, and let the ends of it fall down with the hair you’ve left out of the top knot.
We recommend using N4’s Non Aerosol Hair Spray as this will give you a firm hold but without any stiffness.
