Bonjour dah-ling!
It’s that time of the year – where MTV highlights achievements in film and television with the ever so iconic popcorn-trophy awards. Our favorite part? The red carpet, of course! We can always count on our favorite Hollywood celebs to arrive in next-level hair looks. This year, one style in particular seemed to RULE the red carpet – the low pony! The leading ladies of Hollywood proved just how versatile and chic a classic ponytail is, giving us some MAJOR hair inspo for the summer.

The Party Pony
Of course we had to kick off our MTV faves with the host of the evening, Tiffany Haddish. The glowing goddess arrived with a sleek center-parted ponytail that showed off her gorgeous, playful curls. And, as expected, this chic party pony set the mood for the evening, as comedian Haddish kept us LOL’ing all night long!
Pro Tip: Keep our Number 4 Mini Mighty Hairspray close by during special events to maintain a clean, sleek look throughout the evening.
The Accessorized Pony
Katherine Langford from the hit Netflix show, 13 Reasons Why, served up all things fierce the second she set foot on the red carpet. The voluminous top of her teased tresses flowed into soft, romantic waves, resulting in this glamorous look. Her oversized tulle bow topped it all off, proving that accessories have all the power to make a statement for your ‘do. Because, after all, more is more, dah-ling.

The Undone, Done Pony
Olivia Munn’s look was all about texture! The secret to achieving such marvelous texture is to run our Number 4 Texture Styling Creme through your tresses, then rough-dry your hair for lift. Once dry, create loose waves with our Number 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray, alternating directions for that “undone” done look. Finish by securing your pony with a subtle yet stylish accessory, like this gold LeHand barrette by Epona Valley.

The Epic Pony
Low pony? High pony? Amandla Stenberg’s epic ‘do proves that you don’t have to pick one or the other. She brought a fresh take to this red carpet trend by pulling her ponytails together with a red elastic to match her overall look.
